kiplin
Hey there. I'm a new member, been lurking here for ages and just bought my first rep from trusty ol' Andrew who's been a pleasure to deal with. It was an IWC Repeater that's too big for me unfortunately - such a shame, I *love* the look of it. Onwards and upwards, at least now I know I need a watch smaller than 43mm.. Currently toying with the idea of replacing it with a 005, and/or vintage sub..
modelizer
Welcome to RWG kiplin! Sorry to hear the IWC Repeater is too big for you.. Give it a couple of days on your wrist and it might "grow" on you.. If it doesn't, my advice would be to replace it with a nice vintage sub (40mm) since the 005 is even bigger than the Repeater at its 44mm.. dluddy
Welcome to RWG. If the Repeater is too Big then stick with 40MM as modelizer said
maxman
Welcome to RWG. I agree with Modelizer, give the watch a chance,43mm Isnt really that big. If you dont find It comfortable after giving It a week or so,then go with a 40mm.
kiplin
Thanks for the welcome! I have a gen Omega DeVille 38mm which is a nice size, though can occasionally look small, though still great. Damn these in-between sized wrists! My thoughts were the IWC looked so big because it has a relatively thin bezel and enormous face; the 005 the face is smaller making it look like a smaller watch. Maybe it's just because I'm used to the smaller DeVille.. What are the resale value for reps like? If I don't happen to fall in love with the IWC over the next week or so, it would be nice to get back close to what I paid for it and replace it with something a little smaller. Thanks again guys
