Smab
Ordered this strap from Steinhart, it is an IWC Big Pilot style, but I decided to try it on my Steelfish, since it has the same lug width (22mm). What do you guys think about this combo? Happy Saturday BTW; was windowshopping the other day, at our local AD, by random they had a brand new Steelfish with vulcano black dial in their window. This is the first time I see a GEN to compare with my own. Apart from the arrow second hand on the new style SFSO, the look is out of this world. I tell you, the AR and the 3D effect on the dial is spectacular! Even looking through a window 3 feet away, it was no problem spotting the obious flaws (or weak spots) our rep world has to strugle with. At least on this particular model. And the finish on the case and the bracelet (silky, sleek satin SS), nothing we can hope to have on an averidge rep, as far as I am concerned. But I am curious about the newer models, my was purchased back in may 2008, and it is still running well, btw. The socalled "double AR swiss standards", as they claim on the newer models (e.a. SA 2009), is it really getting closer to the real deal as far as AR is concerned? The double bluish AR on my SFSO is nothing close to the gen AR. I was literary shocked when I saw this watch in the window, it was so nice, that I would have bought it, if I had the NOK 21,000.00 (approx 3500 USD) incl.VAT. They also had a Chronomat B01, btw. It was more than twice the price (approx 56,000.00 NOK), to blingy for my taste, but a very substantial picece. A bit larger than the SFSO also.
