Advice re: Mark XV Spitfire, first purchase

Hi folks,

Looking forward to a learning opportunity as a result of my first acquisition. I just received a Marx XV Spitfire, silver dial from Silix.

I am very new at this, but my observations are as follows:

Cons

1. Date window appears too small (this is what jumps out at me the most when I look at the watch)

2. Triangular thingy at 12 seems too small

3. Numbers seem a bit too fat (if I look at the 4 the gap in the middle seems very small)

4. Caseback shows "UTC", from what I gather this is inaccurate.

5. No AR as far as I can tell (none advertised)

6. Lume on hands is poor (only lasts a short time) and is practically nonexistent on the hour markers at 12,3,6,9

Pros

1. I like the watch (and this is what counts right?)

2. Build quality seems good (but hey, what do I know), please comment.

3. Watch band seems very nice, in fact I'm returning a croc strap I got from The Watch Boys as a result.

I opened the case back and took a picture of the movement, advertised as Swiss ETA 2824, however this one is marked as a 2824-2.

Please comment on the pictures (sorry about the poor quality, especially on the movement pic) and my observations if you can as I'd like to learn from this. Is there a better rep out there and would you say I should invest in addressing some of the short coming (like relume, AR and movement servicing). TIA

Superlative, where did you get yours from?

That's probably the older of the Mark XV reps. Mine has the correct case back and correct 19mm lug width.

More importantly, that is a replica 2824 movement. I'd return that watch ASAP!
