freddy333
After spending days searching through the forums (all), I've been unable to find out where people are seeing and buying these "MBW" Rolex reps from?! Can anyone direct me to a specific posting (or forum)? I've been collecting reps for more than 20 years and I wish I'd found this site 20 years ago. My hat's off to the founder(s). A very useful resource!
manuel
Hi Freddy, mbw are basically the best vintage Polex replicas you can buy: 1680, 5512, 5513, sea-dweller.... Also the every where seen 16610. This reps cost a bit more than the usual. I suggest reading the whole mbw post you can, to choose a model and learn his possibilities. Of course you can view the mbw in this forum. I myself I am going to buy a 1680 again. Please search the forum for pictures. Hope this helps. buckeye
Freddy: plenty of pictures of MBW watches on the forum(s)...just seach and you'll find them. Only two real places to get them: George and Watchmaster. Watchmaster claims his stuff is not MBW, but consensus is that the quality is equal. They hang out at TRC. They are expensive...check out the pics, etc. and you will be able to determine if you think they are worth it.... welcome jeff
Febus
I recently bought a watchmaster No1 and can report that the watch is of good quality. Whether it's worth the premium is a matter of debate. I could probably have got better value elsewhere and a more accurate replica to boot. However it is better than my so called TW best SD in terms of the movement and of course has huge modding potential being able to take OEM parts. For an extra $100-150 dollars or so over the best of the rest I think it's worth a punt if you can afford it.
