lhooq
I'd like to replace the pump pushers on my DW 6239 with a couple of units purchased from Ofrei (PD 61.701). These are 4mm at the head, 2.5mm at the thread. Normally, these should screw right into the DW case, but... not in this particular case! It screws in by about one turn, and that's as far as it goes. The pusher holes need to be re-tapped, but I'm not sure what the correct tap size should be. Help!
lhooq
Well, it seems like what has been will be again, what has been done will be done again, and there is definitely nothing new under the sun! The topic of tap sizes was discussed from 2006-2008, in relation to DW's original 6263 cases. I believe the dimensions hold true for DW's current crop of 6239 cases. Here's one thread. I wish some of those guys were still here on RWG-Rolex! The answer is 0.25mm x 0.25 for DW's pushers, and 0.25mm x 0.2 for genuine, Ofrei, and Cousins pushers. Ephry73
Thanks Lhooq. I thanked you on another post, but this is what I need. Say, by any chance, do you have any spare pump pushers to sell? They don't have to be super great. I got tricked by an eBay seller into buying crap, to save time, not money and now fighting it.
