114 Problem- advice needed

Hey Guys,

My beloved 114 is acting odd. I can wind it fine, but most of the time when I pull out the crown I can only wind, not set the time.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Mayhaps something I can address on my own?

Screw that holds stem is loose probably, check it.

You need to open the case back.

Next to the stem, stem is attached to the crown, there is a little screw. It could be that it came loose a bit.

At first before you tighten screw, push stem/crown inside as much as possible- did you do it? If not open slightly that tighten screw, not more then one or one and half turn max , push crown with stem inside as much as possible, tighten screw again. Then try to pull out crown, without crown guard- is it now possible to adjust time?
