crystalcranium
Tried the search engine. Lack of information here. Is it possible to re-plate a replica? Doesn't there need to be a nickel base to plate? Can gold stick to gold? Would any of these "home plating kits" that use a brush work? I see that several jewelry replating services might not work on reps. Has anyone tried purging the watch case of parts and just sending out the case/bezel/crown to be plated? You got your moneys worth. I say toss it or use it for parts, give it away and buy a new one. It's a rep!
addingwatch
I have had good luck with professional replating. In the past, I have used Artisan Plating and it has been perfect. The bad news is that they have not responded to email in a long time. Regards.
