Ralphy
Hello esteemed peers, i have a very quick and easy question. I've just bought a lovely vintage 1655 "orange hand" from another member (thanks rps01 you are indeed a man of your word) and i'm thrilled to bits with it. Its an ex-Palp piece that appears to have had some very seriuos love put into it. The only slight downside is that the bezel has come off! Anyways i'm not bothered by this and am sure that its easy to rectify. Having never done any watch operation any more complex than a Panerai strap change however i wanted to ask before i leapt into a glue-ridden pit of doom. I'm thinking that a few drops of something like Loctite strategically placed around the "thing" that the bezel rests on would do it, though I would like a bit of assurance from the forum, or perhaps an alternative course of action if there is one. any thoughts? PLEASE IGNORE MY FOOLISH POST!! I said "bezel" without thinking and meant "insert" - glue is indeed the way to go!!! I would have deleted this post but i can't figure out how to do it. I'm off to hide in a corner now...
