PAM005 in PVD...any good?

So I am mostly a Rolex guy, but I like the PAM005 with PVD coating. The one Trusty has is the PPVD005SW01 with the Swiss Unitas 6497 Hand Wind (Engraved G Series Swan Neck)movement. I like really the Black Panerai watches, but I know they don't have much to choose from in black... so I was looking at this one. It is over $300.00 so I figured I would ask your opinions on this one. I did do a search on the forums, but no PVD 005 to be found. Thx guys.

There are a few gen owners who have DLC'd or PVD'd the gen logo models... 000 and 005

Personally if you wanted to do that I would get the 005 and send it to Avitt for DLCing... more expensive but would be a much better version

Depends what you want from an accuracy POV in relation to what you want to pay....

The one you refer to is a really old rep and very poor in terms of any accuracy... dial, CG etc etc dont waste your money on that mate

If you want something on the dark side that excellent OTB and great value then go for the 26K... destro but great value and very accurate OTB :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Or possibly David's 009 if you dont mind base dials :) IMHO these are the best PAMs (bases I mean)
