Are the transfer gears on the genuine thinner than the Asian ones? Is that why the case requires machining?

I am not sure how different, but the movement is thinner, that's why the case need to be machined to accept the gen or else the crown position won't lined up.

@maccaz, it's custom made. Read post #1, then you'll know who made it. Not sure he's still doing it though.

I believe texski makes the case back, very nice....Thinking maybe I should ask for one too!! It is not a cheap option i don't think. but well worth it!

Amazing!!! I'm new to this Franken 3714 club and have ordered a set of gen dial+hands of 3714-17 from Hugo! Will equip with swiss eta 7750 movement with my project.. Will show fotos once it's complete! ^^
