Logan Posted April 14, 2012 Report Posted April 14, 2012 Are the transfer gears on the genuine thinner than the Asian ones? Is that why the case requires machining?
100 Posted April 24, 2012 Author Report Posted April 24, 2012 Are the transfer gears on the genuine thinner than the Asian ones? Is that why the case requires machining? I am not sure how different, but the movement is thinner, that's why the case need to be machined to accept the gen or else the crown position won't lined up. Thanks everyone for compliment, the watch really is stunning to look at
maccaz Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 Amazing! Where is that case back from? Is it something you picked up and modded or is it all custom?
dluddy Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Drooling again. Might be the most stunning dial I have seen in a watch
100 Posted May 16, 2012 Author Report Posted May 16, 2012 @dluddy, stop drooling @maccaz, it's custom made. Read post #1, then you'll know who made it. Not sure he's still doing it though.
dmacnz Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 I believe texski makes the case back, very nice....Thinking maybe I should ask for one too!! It is not a cheap option i don't think. but well worth it!
dhan Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 wow,, watch defs had flaws work in to it.. big fans on this one
coolchu001 Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 This is a stunning build. Great choice with the 3714-82 dial on the stainless case. The SS case makes the dial pop more than the RG version!
astro123 Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Amazing!!! I'm new to this Franken 3714 club and have ordered a set of gen dial+hands of 3714-17 from Hugo! Will equip with swiss eta 7750 movement with my project.. Will show fotos once it's complete! ^^
therobinhood Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 saw those shots here tooo... http://watchanish.tumblr.com/tagged/iwc/page/4
watch.aholic Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 Just got a link to this thread from the dial sale on RG......whoa what a build this one.....this is one of the most beautiful 3714 dials and that custom caseback is a success.
