Thor
Anyone have picture of this Daytona or know what year it is? I knowa few of its flaws such as the 6 sub following the hour and no white gap underneath the 6 subdial, but what else is there. The big second hand only move when the chronos are activated I believe. Is that the way the gen functions? Any help or opinions on this watch are appriciated. Shouldnt the tick marks be in red? Pushers on the gen are asymmetrical, the bottom one is farther from the crown than the top one. This is to accomodate an asymmetric pushers' sockets on the VJ72. Most of the reps have them spaced evenly shouldn't the tip of the seconds hand be white tipped? where is randy when you need him... Here is a genuine 6263 (screw down pushers) The dial on the rep has the word "Daytona" above the 6 o'clock subdial which should not be there. There should also be three lines of text below the dial crown. The rep dial goes on a 6241 (genuine below, no screw down pushers) Also note the red ticks on the outer register. Here's the dial you want in that rep case Here's how a vintage Exotic 6263 Daytona should look  Note the details: *correct subdial spacing *correct dial and subdial font *correct dial markers (marker at 12 should not have a lume dot) *red minute track *white tipped center seconds hand *asymmetric pushers *37mm case *19mm lugs *78350/19 Oyster bracelet *correct length hands *correct size/length pushers *acrylic set bezel (numbers are actually painted under the clear acrylic surface) Here is the link for a real one with the cream dial (it is the 4th one down; just click the watch): http://www.bjsonline.com/watches/catalog/c...tage&make=rolex Here is another link that shows quite a few of the so called Paul Newman watches: http://samuelerinaldi.interfree.it/paulnewman.htm
