It needs to be replaced, but my question is; can I use a genuine balance wheel assembly which is easily found on ebay? Or can i buy a new a7750 movement to use for parts? If you broke the wheel itself, then you will need a wheel and spring as they are a matched pair, which means you have to transfer the balance staff and rollers...difficult to do without a steaking set The issue if you go with a ETA replacement part, like a full balance complete, it may or may not work with the hole & cap jewels. Heck, I have found there are enough variants with the A7750's, you might have the problem as well! Easy and cheap way would be to get it to a watchmaker that knows what he is doing...and his attitude.
