Canuck88 Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 I've noticed more and more noobs (or people with zero patience/tolerance) are jumping the gun and reporting our dealers to Paypal. As experienced enthusiasts know, communicating with the dealer (and if necessary with forum members) is enough to get any dispute resolved 99% of the time (PS to the newbs - sometimes dealers need more than 12 hours to respond to your email). Reporting a dealer to paypal jeopardizes our hobby in a big way, and thus I'd like to suggest - to this board and the others - that anyone reporting a dealer to Paypal is instantly and permanently banned. I don't know about the rest of you, but I like collecting replicas and don't want some douchebag ruining it for me.
Starbug Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 (edited) Like all operating merchants, there must be a genuine attempt to look into complaints, and unhappy customers should be taken care of. Accepting PayPal payment for counterfeit goods is illegal, and everyone of the dealers takes a chance with every sale they make. However, I suspect our dealers are resourceful enough to be able to recover from a PayPal account suspension... Do I agree that a PayPal complaint should lead to a permanent ban?.. No, because it's quite simple for any banned user to sign up again under a different name. Do I think the dealers should never sell another watch to someone who screws them over through PayPal.. We don't need to answer that as the dealers will be well aware of the people who they will never deal with again. The thing about this topic is that there are two sides to every story... JosePR Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Noobs, please dont make a big show if dealer does not answer in a couple of day's, this is no scam. Many rep stores with 100% guarantee on everything are scams. This is the safest and best way to buy reps and to learn about what you buy
