ippykaye
Hi guys, I thought I'd share my new acquisition- a 'new-born' PAM 5218-202A from David Sen. It took a while to process the order as I had to sign up to Moneybookers but thereafter, he was very quick with shipping it to me. Communication was succinct and to the point with him throughout the whole process. I'm a newbie to this rep game. I've been doing lots of reading on the forums and although modding sounds exciting, I don't think I'm quite up to that stage of the game yet! Hence, having heard good things about David Sen, about how he specialises in PAMs, I thought I'd go for a watch I lusted after as a teenager, the 5218-202A. I have my fair share of gens but I'd never fork out more than $60K for the real deal, and they're rare as hens teeth to boot. Overall, I'm happy with the watch. The PVD looks good, the lume application looks reasonable and the dial looks ok. Then again, this is to my untrained eye and I'm no expert! I've swapped out the strap he included with a Strapworks chocolate gator I had lying around for my PAM240. My only complaint thus far is the winding mechanism- perhaps I'm too used to gens. This is an 'Asian' movement, and it's very stiff to wind. When I wind the crown, it seems bimodal in the stiffness- firstly stiff to the point where I think I'm about to break something, then it slackens and I keep winding and it gets gradually stiffer, escalating into the aforementioned peak before it slackens again. I'm not sure if my description is understandable! I've tried pulling the crown out and then pushing it in to see if that helps but to no avail. Any thoughts from those more experienced with his products? Anyway, it runs and I'm happy for now. I've heard that some if DSN's movements aren't easy to wind. Some quick and nasty iPhone shots for the time being. Thanks for reading!

FxrAndy
I like the way your dial looks, maybe a little new but nice I would say the first thing to do would be to remove the AR, but enjoy it now
