Does a taka crystal fit a gen 3717 case?

I was reading the other thread and it seemed like the big expense for a gen case set with crystal and crown is the crystal. I was wondering if I could save money by not buying the gen crystal?

I took pictures of the saphires for the 3714 today, but I am not satisfied with how they turned out.

I put plain rep, an IWC, one done by pbdad, and one by Uwe.

I can say that the when you put a IWC saphire next to others, it is much more clear.

The saphires that I have been getting are consistent with the rep ones, and have a slight grey cast to them.

The IWC did not.

I am not sure how noticeable it is on the watch, but laying on a sheet of bright white paper, it is.

So far, I have only been able capture the difference in tint, not the color of the crystal.

Once I am able to get my camera to capture the transparency, then I will post.

But, to answer your question, Taka's crystal should fit.

Best to ask him, though.

The case already includes the crystal

I assume many buyers would like to get the crystal if you decide to part from it
