I think you'll find that with Rolex's though , it was around the introduction of the ceramic version that the bracelets became more substantial otherwise they have been very lightweight. I have had people dismiss gens as being fake because they thought the bracelet wasn't heave enough. Hence why Omega went over board with the PO cos they new there was a market for heavyweight bracelets.
