Any tips on how to remove the Ploprof V1 saphire bezel insert?

I'm trying to transplant the V1 insert to my V2 Ploprof but I'm having a horrible time removing the insert from the V1 case. Has anyone done that? Any pointers?

i thought it is glued onto the bezel. So you should heat it up and press/turn the inlay to get it removed.

I tried that in several many ways. The bezel can't be locked and it's a pain to try that. I've even tried boiling the case. Destroyed my fingers and got maybe 2 mm movement on the insert.
