testhm Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Hi all, just wanted to know if somebody has the same issue with the DG 4813 movement. I have this watch for only 6 months, bought from one of the well known sellers. When the watch is laid down flat the movement works perfect, but when i wear it the movement stops working from time to time. When I shake the watch a little bit it moves on. Is there a chance to repair (oil) the watch on my own or will I damage more than good? Is there a change to get this watch serviced at a reasonable price (i paid GBP 99) or should I contact the seller Tips much appreciated.

blue_sphere Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Stop shaking it and wearing it until you get a service. There are a few EU watchsmiths but I am not sure their names! Perhaps another member could lend some helpful advice.
Jkay Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 It is general wisdom that for $18 you can buy a new dg4813 and replace it .. dont service it. If the hand wheels heights on the watch are different from the DG4813 you receive then move the wheels over as well.
