ubiquitous
http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry139303 But, I know very little about these. What do the IWC experts think about this one?
bosk
It looks almost dead on. I'm probably going to get the spitfire version since the hands have more area to re-lume. They are also on Paul's website (notyet priced) as well as trusty's.
ubiquitous
I was looking at the hands... On the gen, I think the subsidiary and center seconds hands are white? Is that correct?
turkey
Thats a great looking watch. From a quick comparision with a gen, the most obvious flaw is that the subdials at 12 and 6 seem to be missing a white ring around them. Also the numbers in the subdials at 12 and 9 should be horizontal rather than at an angle matching their position in the subdial. On the gen there also seems to be three dots of lume in the 12:00 subdial at the 2,6,10 markers which are absent in the rep. This is all mostly nitpicking, thanks to you I'm now thinking of picking up one. I'm curious how hard it would be to locate a gen dial/hands and whether it would fit. This would seem to resolve many of these problems. Edited October 27, 2006 by turkey
HighDef
The hour/minute/second hands are all short, and also that swiss made should be a bit higher. Not really that much but I know anals here will notice it. GEN

These are simple, cosmetic flaws that can and should be fixed with little difficulty by the maker . . . I think I'll wait for the second generation.
