poretl Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Take a look at this listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110801581659&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:US:1123 I'm looking to buy one of these but so I know what I'm buying I want to have something clarified I noticed in the description the sellers says: " This strap is for folding deployant clasps but also fit standard buckles." Is that the case indeed? And what does that really mean? That the strap for the folding deployant buckle just fits the tang buckle or that the 2 are in fact identical? Thx
fotoman Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Most deployants (notice not deployment-you have it correct) only fit thin straps. So the typical fat 4mm or 5mm all the way tohe end of the strap won't fit deployants, including panerai's Panatime has deploy ants that fit 4mm and 5 mm ends. Deployants save the stap from having a crease. But notice its thicker tword the watch and thinner at the end of strap. Regular buckles will work, if the correct size and correct pin size.
