I read on this forum that those were even better imitators than cubic zircons (Cz's), but that reps usually display the latter ones. GhostfaceZX Posted October 28, 2006 Report Share Posted October 28, 2006 The only good thing about moissanite is that it tests positive as a diamond, but color-wise, CZ is much better (equivalent to a D color diamond). For a watch, I'd much rather have CZ than moissanite unless you're trying to impress a friend with a diamond tester. There are also different qualities in the cut of CZ, so you may get CZ that looks like crap, but if it's cut right, it looks great. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Unless light can get in from the side I read somewhere it has significantly less 'fire' than equivalent diamond.
