irolexu
Well I've had an on going issue with an ETA running to slow so I decided to get the kello app and it actually saved a whole lot of time by making adjustments based on what kello is reading. I found that if you open the back and place your iPhones headphone mic directly over the hairspring and use the case back to sort of close it in you get very good solid quick readings every time. So far thanks to the app my watch has only gained a minute in 10 days. Not bad!!!!

Jkay
It all depends on how you set up the mic and how you adjust the gain in the app. Too loud is just as bad as too soft. Other than that, it works very well as a basic regulation tool. Of course it wont do Beat adjustment but hey .. it's 9 dollars. Now, if you know that the watch gains 6 seconds a day, every morning you can pull the crown for 6 seconds and viola ... dead accurate every day. I set the mic to what it came set and used the caseback to further insulate the sound which really worked great. and if I pulled the crown for 6 seconds wouldnt that just mean my watch is now slow 12 seconds out of the day!?!? lol
Jkay
You said the watch gained 1 minute in 10 days. That's a fast watch, not a slow watch. Pulling the crown for 6 seconds every morning should do you. Alternately, you may know this already but you can speed up or slow down a watch overnight by resting it in one of several positions: Lay the watch face up to make it run faster overnight Lay the watch with its crown pointing up to make it run more slowly overnight. These are directions from the Rolex care booklet. So every night if you rest your watch with the crown up, you will compensate for its nature to be fast when you wear it.
