Bezel Insert - How do you tell if you have a pushed in OR a taped on Bezel?

Thinking of changing a bezel insert on a green Submariner. Is there an easy way to determine if you have a pushe din bezel insert OR a taped on bezel insert without taking the bezel off?

You can dig out the pearl and pry the insert out from the empty hole.
