I will use this opportunity to demonstrate just exactly how good a deal that $1540 is, despite initial appearances. Gen AP Grand Prix: $70 000.00 Rep AP Grand Prix w/full bells & whistles: $1540 -Mathematical cost ratio: the gen is 45 times more expensive than this super-rep. Gen Rolex Sub C: about 10 000.00 Rep Rolex Sub C (noob mod): $4-500.00 -Mathematical cost ratio: the gen costs twenty times more than the rep. Conclusion: even when you pull-out all the stops and go for aftermarket carbon parts and a gen strap that costs more than the rep, you're still getting better value for your money compared to the gen than a Rolex rep collector. Food for thought.

Mr Z
I wanted make a quick updated to bring another step closer to gen mod the 2 lower parts to the bezel should be in very high gloss finish not matte finish as the are normally on rep lower bezels here are a few pics: rep matte finish and what they should look like on the gen ! so decided to do a quick mod update on the GP remove bezel as show earlier on in the thread its in 4 parts 1 carbon part 2 lower metal parts and 1 rubber gasket washer what you need black gloss auto spray paint wet dry sand paper 2500 grit white spirits now take the 2 metal bezel parts and sand them using a fine wet and dry paper 2500 grit remove surface paint so when spraying the new gloss coat gets a better key to the metal use white spirits to remove all paint and dust leave to dry for a few mins then apply black gloss paint thin coats ive used 4 coats in total as it really builds up the gloss coat perfectly leave 30 mins between each coat to dry somewhere warm mine was near the radds oh quick tip i used a water bottle to hold the part as its easy to get the side profile when spraying ... any over spray just use the wet and dry sand paper to flatten and respray that area again !! job done reassemble and enjoy one more step closer to the gen ap !!
