PAM 328L A7750 - minutes/hours hands not turning?

Hello all,

Just received one of these in the mail and the minutes/hours hands are not turning over. Sometimes it does and then it just stops.

Any suggestions?

Edit: The seconds seem to be turning over fine.

The problem is with the cannon pinion/gear, it is a clutch of sorts and should have friction to be able to drive the hands.

If the seconds are turning but the hour and minute hands are not, that is your problem.

It is not a DIY repair, either send it back or have a competent watchmaker service the movement and fix it.

You know i was going to Ditto Ziggy then but why whould i do that, if Ziggy has spoken then it is not like any other advice is needed, what was i thinking.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the info after doing some research online you confirmed what my research has found; however, i was told to turn the minutes/hours hands as they might be sticking at certain points. I did so and needless to say i've made it through a whole hour. Whereas prior i would only get 10 or so minutes if lucky.
