Polar Explorer II

I am searching for a nice Polar Explorer II and since the old noob versions are no longer available I seek your advice on today's best option. Andrew has one with "superlumed" hands and markers. I am curious if it is a good option and whether the lume is actually an improvement over rep lume. How would it compare to say a Monster?
