Need help adjusting new CG lever

I just installed a new tube and T48 crown on my 201a build, but the new Goin CG I just received does not close. What is the best way to adjust the CG lever to get it to fit just right? Here's a pic of how far it closes before the lever stops:

File the lever down... The piece that makes contact with the crown. Just do it in minimal steps

At the suggestion of member w0lf, I used this chain-saw sharpening bit to file it down in small increments. It can also be attached to a Dremel tool. They come in 2 sizes.
