jackmcleassig Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 Hi! I wasn't shure if this is the right section to post, but since all the IWC-heads are in here, i've chosen this section. I got my 5002 from a trusted dealer two days ago. Great Watch, Great rep,... my first one! (= BUT: From the very beginning the were grinding sounds comming from the movement every time the rotor was spinning. I opened the watch, and it seems, that the rotor is loose and touches the housing and movement respectively, while turning! Well i saw asia movement with a screw in the center of the movement to tight up the rotor. But in this particular case, there is no screw.... Could someone tell me how to fix up my really great BP? Thanks! (=
kbh Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 I imagine it's the same as a 2893-2. The winding bridge comes off with 3 screws and you get to it from the back. Check it out here. Jump ahead to the relevant part. http://www.eta.ch/swisslab/2892a2/2892a2.html
jackmcleassig Posted June 9, 2012 Author Report Posted June 9, 2012 thanks for that hint, kbh! unfortunately it isnt very similar,.. =( i made a short video, to describe my prob!IMG_0775.MOV
kbh Posted June 9, 2012 Report Posted June 9, 2012 If it's anything like the ETA rotors from the 28xx series, which I'd guess it is, the bearing is pressed into place on the rotor and you would need to take the rotor off and re-press the bearing back into place.
jackmcleassig Posted June 11, 2012 Author Report Posted June 11, 2012 I'll have a try! Thanks for the help mate!
