anonymus
Ok so I did a search and found several good articles on how waterproof testing works and how to do it by your self (just need the equipment then..) But what I cannot find is experiences from watch-smiths and stores where you could bring your rep to have it tested without them frowning upon it (or hell in some countries destroying the watch). So I am now looking for a reliable place to do water-proof-testing here in Berlin before the pool and lake-season really starts and was wondering if there is any experience already here on the board.. (saw a discussion over at RG about this topic regarding Sweden and seemed helpful for the swedes so maybe one for us living in Berlin?) Any experienced members are more than welcome to chime in here, and I will try to post my experiences if I have to go out blind and try some places out.. (would prefer not to but atleast better than just trying it in the pool )EDIT; misspelled in the poll when rephrased the question, but couldnt find the edit-tool for the poll so you will have to live with it..EDIT2: goddamnit now the poll disappeared.. some friendly mod might help me out here? anonymus
POLL-question (until I figure out how to re-add the Poll to this thread or some kindhearted mod fixes it for me) Q: Should you trust watch-smiths/stores to waterproof-test and service your Rep watches? 1. YES, I have done it many times and have never had any problems as long as you dont take your REP to the AD for service.. (feel free to post recommended places in your city in thread) 2. NO, It can be very problematic because.. (Feel free to explain complications in thread) 3. OTHER (explain in thread)
