I'm being tempted to buy a BK modded Sub and I don't know where the BK stands compared to a MBW and a WM from the mid 2000's

I would search a bit more this forum, you will find posts comparing the two best subs available, BK and TC, both are considered to be the known WM9 and closest to gen.
