thewightstuff
as per title, ive a watch that occasionally when unscrewing the crown to wind position causes the hands to move when it comes off the threads even though its not in the setting position. instinct is telling me that there must be something causing a pull on the stem enough to cause the hands to grab. is this correct and if so what the common cause. a stem cut too short? it certainly feels like it should be slightly longer as i dont seem to have any real spring action with the crown unscrewed. RWG Technical
Most likely a too short stem, but it could also be the clutch in the crown that is not releasing and pulling the stem out, instead of only the crown popping out...
