Swiss And Asian 6497 Interchangeable Parts?

Hey Zigg, Got a quick question for ya. I want to replace the center bridge on my swiss 6497 with the bridge of an asian 6497 with no Panerai Markings. Thus getting a blank 6497 movement with cotes de geneva markings.

Do you know if this swap can be done?

Not sure, as I have seen some with the jewel and pivots the same size as the Swiss ones, and others are not the same size...there are so many variants out there, even identical looking movements can have different sized parts.

Location will probably be right (location of the actual jewels), but size of the holes in the jewels may be a problem...

You'll have to try it to find out.

Thanks The Zigmeister, I didnt realize there were so many of the asian 6497s. I will get one from my regular guy and one from Davidsen, hopefully one of them will fly. Thanks for the prompt response.
