bertiesdad
Hi there Firstly thank you all for your input and guidance to a relative newbie! I just wanted to let you know that UK customs issues appear to have been resolved as package from TD arrived in 6 days (spending 2 days in customs which seems normal). No sign of having been opened. I got a Rolex GMT, PAM111 and a James Bond Omega. Delighted with all three watches. Keeping my fingers crossed that there are no more issues for my RWG friends with customs. Best wishes BD
hub
A word of caution for UK members, Customs do seize items from time to time. My brother recently had his EMS package seized and a follow up letter was sent to him telling him that the package had been sent to the trade mark owner for disposal. Puretime then sent a replacement package by DHL which came through fine. So a big thanks to Angus for sorting it out.
panerai153
Anytime you send anything through customs, it's a risk. If it's rep or counterfeit goods, or embargoed items (Cuban Cigars for instance), you run the risk of seizure and confiscation. If it's genuine items, you may end up eith a big customs duty on the item. I would not get too complacent, as the customs forces may seem pretty lax this week, but next week they get a new memo from up the line, and they change their focus to something else, and it may be reps!
