so whats the secret on aging an insert?

I droped mine in klorine (bleach) for 45min then i gently rubbed it with a Towel...

Be carefull with bleach, your type of paint on the bezel could dissolve real fast. Check every 15 mins.........if I were you!

I rub my inserts with rubbing compound or cutting paste it takes a while but you have control over how far to take it just avoid rubbing too much on the edges i have also used fine wet n dry paper 1000-2000 grade with super results this is quicker if you want a matt finish leave as is or used compound paste to give a polished look

Heat gun very nice finish ! can the same effect be found by baking the insert ?
