Markets to visit in Malaysia?

HI, Long time lurker here.

 

I buy mostly from Andrew at TT, but often pick up the odd item in my travels through SE Asia.

 

Heading to KL for the first time late Jan. Any places worth visiting to see reps?

 

I assume the quality would not be on par with TD offerings, (I have seen some rough stuff - Mexico jeez) but the odd souvenir is fun.

Try Petaling Street in KL. Since you know the quality of what our TDs have here, you will be very disspointed with the half baked pieces that are for sale here.

 

However, its a great atmosphere on Petaling street with vendors of all types of items and its also a nice treat to see a bunch of reps on display sparkling under fluoro lights.

 

Best time to go is after 630pm where the buzz of the crowd is at its best. Also reasonably good food there too but at tourist prices.

 

And don't forget to bargain with the vendors. Always offer about 80-50% less than what they ask for.
