splashmattuk
Hi There I am new to the forums so please forgive me, but I need some help. I purchased a DSSD earlier this year and the movement has broken. I tried to buy a replacement and incorrectly bought a Seagull ST2130, which is, as you are aware a ETA 2824-2 replacement, and I believe now I actaully needed a 2836-2. I have purchased replacement hands which I beleive fit both movements, where, how can can I source a decent 2836 clone and can anyone related to this forum help me fit the parts together. If anyone has need for a 28000bpm Seagull 2130 or has a 2836 clone with a decent bpm to sell or trade for the Seagull i would be very interested. best regards
panerai153
Several ETA movements for sale on Ebay, also saw one clone ETA 2836-2 on Ebay. Clone price was around 75.00 USD, the genuine ETA's were all from 125.00 USD (no bids-14 hours left) to over 165.00 USD, all were new movements. I don't think that 2824's and 2836's are interchangable, maybe in your watch, but the stem height is different. Best to stick to what replaces your old movement.
