Bosox
I recently returned from an island hopping trip in the Carib where, once again, I noticed that the straps on most high end gens were painfully small. The salespeople say that their best customers are from China, so the manufacturers are supplying small straps. I have just bought a rep AP and the strap on that is so small I can't close it on my 7.5-8" wrist. It's a piece of junk which I would have to replace in any case, so it's not a big deal, but now I've got my eye on another AP ROO and the seller claims it's a high quality rubber strap. Do any of you have experience with such a strap? Will I be purchasing a bigger replacement right off the bat? I trust you fellows more than I do the seller to give me an accurate response. Thanks
shirotenshi
Which AP ROO? The Diver? If yes then I can assure that the newest AP Diver has one of the best rubber strap found reps. I used the 2nd hole (counting form the top) for my 6.5" wrist.
PeteM
+1 If its the Diver the strap is bigger than the ROOs the makers sell.... If not then try APBands they sell Rubber in XL.... and of course eBay does have some gen longer Rubber... The thing about the divers is the straps are designed to sit over wetsuits etc so are always longer than the sports/formal straps... the makers tend to copy that from the gens...
