So - DW has the best dial apparently, does anyone though have any ideas how to get the correct subdial profile via a mod?

This would be awesome if it could be done - maybe the illusion of the recess could be created with diff paint tone or maybe it could be pressed into the dial slightly.

Any ideas? Would be an awesome finishing touch to all those nice Homeplate builds out there!

Was thinking maybe a ring of matte finish, or the centre with a matte finish. The contrast would make it look recessed as per gen.

Has anyone else thought of this 'flaw'?

The subdial issue is barely visible in real live. What bothers me most is the printing of the orange 60 minute track on the dial. It should be more pronounced, similar color as the 3 o'clock sub dial orange and not fading under UV as the DW ones does.

Can this be sorted out too with some very careful work?

The subdial thing bothers me more, the orange numbers could just be faded so passable in my eyes.

I think you are out of luck with the subdials. There was / is a project with DW to reproduce more accurate Home plate and Daytona dials but I am not sure if this will lead to results any time soon.

Ahh where is that project, is there a thread?

I feel there is easily demand enough for it - just need to put a bit of pressure on.
