amanamongmen Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 27, 2013 I will add a picture when i get home tonight. the stem is not coming out completely. It seems to be spinning freely. It also feels that a spring is pushing it out. There is no two stopping positions. It is out all the way when i release the clasp. Rolexman Posted March 2, 2013 Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 The stem didn't came out of the movement. The mentioned spring incicates a faulty or broken crown clutch. The stem is still in the movement (that's the screw thread you see). It can not be repaired and you need to source a new crown. Or as an alternative remove the clutch mechanism and shorten the stem.
