dommysam
Hi guys, Just a quick one before I get some quotes for delivery of a couple of items from UK to USA and OZ... what is the popular shipping method? Just sending a bracelet as a large letter with Royal Mail seems to be £40 with tracking?! Dom
bamcky2k
£40?! i think thats abit off...i post items worldwide on a regular weekly basis from my ebay shop, and whenever i've sent bracelets etc of that size it costs around £2 to £3 airmail small packets, or £7 odd for international signed-for...£10 if abit heavier...a watch i sent to usa recently cost £9.80 via airsure which included tracking. airmail small packets is cheapest but perfectly fine international signed-for is ok but abit more expensive-tracking will only work in uk airsure is around same price as signed-for but is tracked all the way these are the services i use most for small items, never paid more than 10 quid. hope this helps abit! panerai153
That sounds awfully expensive for a letter, large envelope. i would investigate other alternative shipping sources. however, all of the shippers are getting very expensive. USPS has gotten ridiculous with their rates. my wife shipped three boxes to her family in Ukraine last week, each box probably weighed less than 15 pounds, an were all about 20"X20" X 14" tall. total price 350.00 USD!! 5-6 years ago, those same 3 boxes would have cost around 160-180 USD, almost doubled in 5 years. dommysam
Thanks guys... something must have been up with the RoyalMail site or rather my browser as I wasn't being offered small packet. All good now!
