Pam luminor marina HELP!

hey guys,

I'm new to the forums so firstly hi from here in SA.

Secondly i am quite new in the watch scene so i am not very clued up on the specfics of each watch so im looking to the experts for advice.

My girlfriend and i were cleaning out her dads garage when we came accross a watch amoungst the tools, and i was in utter shock when i flipped it over to see that all familair panerai face.

I can not get to grips as to why there would be a pam in a garage with tools and that the watch was discarded and in a shocking state.

anyway, i need some assistance in figuring out this watch ie. what movment does it have and a lil about the watch itself.

Iv serached the web but cannot find one like this and my lack of experience doesnt help the matter.

im going to guess its a rep, as there are a few things iv picked up on:

It has the number 3 and the date wheel.all the ones iv seen only have the date wheel or the number 3 not both as the date wheel covers some of the number 3.

the clasp does not have the REG T.M engraved on it, im not sure if they all have this.

there are different dates on the back of the watch and the movement.

and it does not say automatic on the face.

See pics below (please excuse the picture quality)

absolutetely a rep....see the back..

;)

Sorry lo1700 as explained im a noob with watches could u explain what u mean? And can u make out what movment it might have? The watch is in a bad state but if the movement is half decent id consider purchsing a rep case and moving the movment to the new case. Any information is more than welcome...
