hansgrossthal
Hi! I might sound stupid, but I can't figure it out how to remove stem from 8541b movement... Is there a trick or hidden release system somewhere? There's a screw moving when pulling stem out and pushing it in again, but you can't push it down, like in other calibres. Can't remove barrel bridge either, second hand is still on... So, any advice is welcome. Hans
FxrAndy
I am a bit shocked that you are taking an expencive, quite rare movement apart like an 8541b and not know how to remove the stem, Please be carefull, parts are expensive.
hansgrossthal
I believe theres a screw that needs to be unscrewed insted of a button to press. If you look at the pic the screw to the left of the stem and right below the end of the auto windeing bridge. make sure not to unscrew it all the way only about a .25 to .5 turn. That's what I'm trying to tell, that same screw doesn't release the stem. If I turn the screw the stem moves along with it... I'm just completely out of ideas and well aware what those parts cost. Got it! The screw was sooo stuck. Thanks anyway, guys Edited April 10, 2013 by hansgrossthal
