How feasible is it to convert a 7750 movement to something else?

The 3717 (left) uses a the 7750 with running seconds at the 9.  However, IWC created an in-house movement for the 3878 (right) with the seconds at the 6.  It's basically a modified 7750.

 

Is it really expensive and difficult to remove the seconds at the 9 and put it at the 6?

A member for more than a year and you don't know the seconds @ 6 A7750? Reps like the IWC Ingy chrono, Portu, Rolex Daytona etc all have the seconds @ 6 movements but it is problematic without proper care. Do a search there is tons of information available.

I guess it's impossible to modify the ETA 7750 to sec @ 6

I is possible but only with Asian parts... Making it just as unreliable
