looking for a rep case which fits a gen speedmaster dialp

whoever

Hello!

I was talking to one of our respected member here who stunned me with his recent speedmaster build! I wanted to go the same route but was quickly overthrown by the price, the gen donor cases just are too expensive for me...

so he kindly answered all my questions, and now I'm wondering where I could find a good rep case to be the donor and which would fit the gen dial. It has to be a 42mm(inner measurements) apparently.

I would be very happy if somebody could help me out or point me in the right direction, or even better, if someone of you afficionados had a right case lying around.

Dial and hands would be sourced at ofrei's. I've send wizz a mail to see if he would be up reassembling the whole project, waiting for an answer.

Thanks for any help

cheers

As far as I know the response you are getting is reflective of the number of options for using a rep case to house genuine Speedy parts. To go gen dial you will also need the correct movement to go with it (gen Omega or other variant from a Tissot or the like) which of course leads to the hands (which you have mentioned). I do not believe these will fit into the rep cases that use A7750 or the Sea-gull ST19. In my memory I have not seen this done anywhere.

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread but I find myself in the same road. I will build a franken speedmaster with a lemania movement and a rep case.

I already have the movement and I would like to know if anyone have succeeded in doing this. Which one is the right case for this? quartz, 21j or st19?
