By-Tor Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Hmm... I loved the Serie Speciale. I might need to buy this watch again with the new, accurate brushed finish and 28.8 movement. It didn't look too bad polished, either. It was just a bit too tight on my wrist. Found these old pics from the HD and decided to share. Small flaws... yes... but it was still a lovely rep.
melvin.x Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Hey By-Tor.... I can take some pictures of your Navitimer in it´s new home with it´s blue brother if you want... As you know I have installed an additional link on the bracelet and now it fits even my about 8 inch wrist. Great rep - Thank you for selling it to me... ! Greetings DJ
By-Tor Posted December 1, 2006 Author Report Posted December 1, 2006 Glad you're still enjoying it Melvin. Also notice how the slide rule lines up perfectly (unlike on the new Navis). The brushed version is much more "tool watch" like. Can't think of a nicer "dressy chrono" than this (except the TT Navi of course).
Usil Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 I have this watch and rarely wear it. In fact, I have added an additional 2 links so it would not be so tight. Usil
Dario33 Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 I ordered the new one from Joshua and should be arriving any day now. I'll chime in with my thoughts when I receive.
chrono903 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 selling it was the right thing to do. Anyone who knows Navitimers knows this one sucks. Thom
DWSmoot Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I agree... beautiful watch...This is my next purchase. Even considering Josh's special order model with brushed band...just tryong to decide if it's worth the $888...hard to bring myself to commit that nuch to a rep... Any suggestions By-Tor? Thanks,
By-Tor Posted December 2, 2006 Author Report Posted December 2, 2006 @DWSmoot: I'm sure that same ($888) watch comes out eventually with Asian movement.
tonton2000 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 The slide rule on my swiss version lines up exactly as the one in your picture above By-Tor! BTW i credit/blame you for getting me into Breitlings in the first place!
