URkuk
A couple years back I purchased a SInn U2 from a trusted member on this site. The watch supposedly had a swiss eta movement. I really liked the U2 and after it arrived I sent it off to The Zigmeister for service, relume and the capsule mod. The Zigmeister contacted me and stated he could not get the stem to release so he could not work on the watch. He sent the watch back to me and I contacted the member form whom I had purchased the watch. The member contacted the dealer from whom he had purchased the watch with no success to resolve the problem. The member offered me a full refund or send the watch back to him and he would attempt to get it repaired. I sent it back and I believe he installed a new movement.. I was satisfied and decided not to do the mods and service since an asian movement was installed. The watch has worked perfectly for the last 2 or 3 years. Yesterday I placed the watch on the coffee table, my wifes cat decided the watch would look better on the floor and batted it off the table while I watched. The U2 landed on the floor face up at which point the hands spun madly. I am not a watch maker but I assume the main spring has broken? Maybe I;m not supposed to have a U2.... PeteM
That is the rep god saying time to buy an updated version.. ... 2 or 3 years is a result But for info none of those Sinn reps declared by dealer sites as having a Swiss are accurate...at best they are hybrids at worst just clones... even the latest versions... But still they aint a bad price for the updated versions..
