aajaxx007
Gents, I have a lovely tuxedo GMT that took a hit to the bezel. Ordinarily I would brush it right out with some Sandflex but as you know the 029 has the sort of Explorer type bezel indices. If I brush the dings out will I take the ink inside the indices with it?If so I suppose I could fill them back in...The lovely piece in questionThe scuffs best as I can show em - on the top and bottom if the 23 hour marker Any words of wisdom appreciated. Thanks!Ajax
jpz5142
I had a similar type of issue on my EXP II and what I did was remove the bezel, dunk it it paint thinner to remove the numbers, brush the bezel and then paint the numbers. The numbers took me a couple tries and in the end I am satisfied with the color better than the original color. It might give you better piece of mind to factor in re-painting the bezel from the start of true project rather than stressing while brushing the bezel in fear of ruining the numbers. aajaxx007
That sounds like good advice. Perhaps I will leave the scuffs for now. Not ready to tackle a dismantling of this watch just yet...
