Chuck P Posted January 29, 2014 Report Share Posted January 29, 2014 Recieved a 2846 movt yesterday and was going to install it today but when I went to insert a stem (movt came without) I noticed the stem release tab was missing....i.e. the slot is there but the tab itself nowhere to be seen. When I try inserting the stem it slides in but will not catch on anything. I am guessing the tab and perhaps the rest of the keyless works is shot? I have reset one keyless on a 2836 before and it was a pain in the behind so don't want to go through that again, and wonder if it would work anyways? foxindebox Posted February 23, 2014 Report Share Posted February 23, 2014 If you can't see the "button" through the small slot, it sounds like the whole keyless works are severely mis-aligned. If the stem is also not catching and locking into place this also suggests something has come loose in there. If you don't fancy trying a re-set, I'd ask for a return.
