clem2192
I have located a case for a project, unfortunately the case fits the Miyota 82xx movement and I wish to use an ETA 2824-2 movement. After a bit of research, I believe that both the Miyota 82xx movements and the ETA movements have the same same diameter (25.6mm) but the Miyota is 5.67mm height where as the ETA is 4.6mm height. The stem height of the ETA is 1.8mm and the Miyota is 2.5mm I assume that I will require a movement ring / spacer that will riase the stem height of the ETA by the difference between the stem height (0.7mm) so that the stem will go through the tube centrally ?? Is this logic correct ?? Or will I not be able to use an ETA movement in a case to fit a Miyota movement ?! If so does anyone know where I would be able to find a suitable movement ring ?? Are there any 'off the shelf' rings available ?? Cheers
