GenTLe
I would suggest a Panerai or a high end Rolex if your looking for something you would be able to pull off. Alternative, the Tudor BB I agree, and all closed caseback because if someone asks to see it then with a glass caseback you're fu__ed A good choice could also be the BlancPain Fifty Fathoms: only the real knowledged will get what it is and in the meantime is not "that obvious" like a Rolex
TJGladeRaider
Gladerider imagine you got most of your stuff a while ago. I think the recent crunch on ETAs w/ Swatch cutting back outside sales to next to nil has made this more prevalent. Yup, quite right, and I am so VERY glad I kept all the watches I had no use for that had real ETAs in them. I have enough of them that I'll always be able to transfer one into anything that will accept them. Bill
Nightwatch
Hi, I am still stunned by TJGladeRaiders awesome Rolex collection..... Otherwise I second Andyfors general opinion and the one "vintage meets modern watch" which is totally believable, is good for any occasion (interview/date/beach/supermarket/ plane/work) with the added versatility of SS bracelet or strap is the Tudor Blackbay. For the budget a TC may be considered but I think the Blackbay and a TAG Grande Date swiss quartz or a Seiko Diver or 5sports would both be practical and fine.
